What technology is the Bangor Public Library Using?

I just recently visited the Bangor Public Library to return an over due book. Ooopsies! My next visit will be to see what types of technology they are incorporating into the library. I was surprised by the number of computers that they have for patrons to use. I was also impressed by the speed of their wifi! And so many comfortable places to sit and relax with your laptop! My personal favorite spot is on the 3rd floor. You can sit right in front of a giant window soaking in the sun even in the winter time. The library building is itself almost 100 years old. Yet, it still provides all the modern technology one would expect. Many computers for children, teens and adults, copiers, printers, wifi, and an excellent website of their own. I will go into more detail on the website in my next blog entry. The librarians are very helpful if you have any questions about using their computers. They also have separate computers for research. In order for me to get a behind the scenes look at what is going on in this giant library, I am visiting this Thursday. I set up an appointment using their website. You can check out the website they have by visiting http://www.bpl.lib.me.us/
